ARTICLE II
ELECTIONS

SECTION 1: The President shall appoint in July of each year a nominating committee. This committee will contact all eligible members and develop a slate of officers for presentation of the body at the regular meeting in September. Nominations will also be accepted from the floor for all officers in the September meeting, provided the nominated member is present and agrees to accept said nomination.

SECTION 2: The election of officers shall be held a the regular meeting in October. The elected officers will assume their respected offices at the regular meeting in November.

SECTION 3: The term of office shall be for one year. Any vacancy shall be filled by a vote at the next regular meeting, except in case of the office of president, in which case the Athletic Vice President of Boys will automatically succeed the office of president in even-numbered years, and the Athletic Vice President of Girls will automatically succeed the office of president in odd-numbered years.

SECTION 4: The majority vote will determine the election.

SECTION 5: No person shall be permitted to hold more than one elected office at one time.

SECTION 6: To be eligible for an elected office, a person must have obtained a membership for one full year at the time of nominations and be a voting member.
